Scope of work involved scaling down the furnace, rebricking, and refractory.
The furnace was drained with a Salamander tap and the installation of engineered scaffolding took place at the bosch, hearth, and stack area. Access was gained through a tuyere portal.
WSN installed both liner plates and cooling plates and reinstalled upper machinery.
Scope of work also included piping, electrical, and valve replacements. WSN removed and replaced mud guns and drills. Platforms, skip inline steel, existing rail, structural and stockhouse rail were also replaced.
The shutdown was completed working 24/7 over a 30-day period.
