Senior Vice President, Chief Innovation Officer

Matt is Senior Vice President, Chief Innovation Officer for Centuri Group, Inc.

In this role, Matt is responsible for the application of data analytics to all aspects of the business and the implementation of digital innovations and robotic process automation to streamline workflows, drive efficiency, and generate additional revenue across Centuri’s businesses.

He leads Centuri’s digital technology teams and drives initiatives in data analytics, digitalization, and process improvement through the use of technology. Matt and his team focus on the innovation of data-driven products and service offerings that will support the growth of technical services for our customers.

Matt brings two decades of executive leadership experience in clean tech, energy, data, IOT (Internet of Things), and sustainability, having built and led organizations across energy, computing, digital, and manufacturing industries. Most recently, Matt has been serving as a strategic advisor to energy, sustainability, and technology firms and working with private equity investors to source and evaluate deals.

Prior to that, Matt was President & CEO of JP3 Measurement, a leading technology company serving the oil and gas industry with analytical systems, advanced software, and cloud-based data services. When JP3 was acquired by Flotek Industries in May 2020, Matt became EVP of Flotek’s new Data Analytics division and was responsible for integrating JP3’s team while exploring expansion into new markets. His additional executive experience includes CEO, COO, and Marketing roles with LED lighting firm Illumitex, US Dept. of Energy contractor SURA, and Dell supplier Sydcor Enterprises.

Matt holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin
